National Greeley Art Exhibition's Meet and Greet
November 13, 2018
Showcase Art Center, 1335 8th Avenue, Greeley, CO
Good evening from the National Greeley Art Exhibition!

My name is Heather and I am the newest Secretary of the NGAE. I just wanted to reconnect with you to say thank you again for your support of the National Greeley Art Exhibition in previous years, and ask that you share our Event with Artists in your area.

We are hosting a Meet & Greet next month and would love for Artists to join us for a night of art, food, and wine so we can share with you what it is that we do and how we are involved in our community! You can learn more about our our amazing Fellowship and Scholarship opportunities by talking to previous Fellowship and Scholarship winners, and talk to Board Members about how the NGAE is connecting our community to art!

Tuesday, November 13th
5:30 - 7:30 pm
Showcase Art Center, 1335 8th Avenue, Greeley, CO
Facebook Event Link:

We are making a few changes this year regarding dates, venues, and scholarships so keep an eye for those! We know some Artists are further from Greeley than others, so they can keep track of our Events and Updates by "Liking" our Facebook page (, visiting us online at, or emailing us here at to let us know they want their email added to our email list so we make sure to keep them informed.

We would love the opportunity to continue sharing our Events with you, we will be hosting an Event where we award our Scholarships near the end of April and our Main Event, the National Greeley Art Exhibition Art Show & Sale (where we will also award our Fellowships) will be at the beginning of October 2019, so please let us know if that's a possibility.

Feel free to email us anytime with questions, and thank you again for your support in previous years!

PSC Winter Workshop: Art of the Flower with Terrie Lombardi
November 17, 2018
Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, Room 110 EPiC Building
Price: $60 (plus $3 processing fees)
Audience: all levels
Time: 9am to 4pm, 1 day

Description: Still Life is a wonderful genre that opens the door to understanding spatial
relationships and the use of color. We're very fortunate to have one of our own members,
Terrie, to offer an in depth one day workshop.

Terrie is a seasoned painter with many years of experience. She is an active member in Pastel
Society of America and of course in Pastel Society of Colorado. Her training is extensive with
many exceptional instructors: Quang Ho, Albert Handell, Doug Dawson, Lorenzo Chavez to
name a few.
Terrie's demeanor is very upbeat and fun. She will teach you how to develop an underpainting,
apply layers of pastel to it and take it to a finished painting. In addition you will learn and
practice composition, value, and edge control.

THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FULL. To place your name on a waiting list, please email Wayne Vigil at

Most juried shows are now using services such as Online Juried Shows or Zapplication to handle entries. They each have specific requirements for the type and size of files you send and may disqualify entries that do not meet those requirements.

Just in time for our 2019 Member Show and Mile High National Show, Jeannette will expertly and kindly walk us through the process, with demos and with individual help.

This time we'll be in a RMCAD computer lab and you are welcome to use one of their computers or you can bring your laptop if you have one and prefer to be using your own computer. Also please bring a prospectus or two and some photos of your art to work with. We'll be using a free online photo editor (using WiFi) or you can use Photoshop or Elements if that's what you use/have on your computer. The classroom computers have Photoshop installed and all are online. Jeannette will be using a projector for the demos.

Please arrive between 10am (when they open) and 10:20 to set settled and setup. Class will start at 10:30am. Demo and discussion will be from 10:30-12:30 and individual help from 12:30-2:00. There will be demos and handouts to follow as well as Q&A.

Jeannette is a full-time graphic designer with over 30 years of experience in design as well as 15 years experience teaching computer basics, page layout, photoshop, computer illustration and visual design at Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design (RMCAD).

Bring a snack or bag lunch. No food is allowed in the computer labs but we can take a short break at lunch time. No food vendors will be open on campus so please bring what you need. RMCAD sits on an aquifer and there are fresh water dispensers in the hallways but bring a bottle to fill. Water or other beverages need to be in cups with lids or screw on caps.

Cost is $50.00 (plus $2 for PayPal processing fees)
